Out on my mountain bike I just reached the bench that overlooks the Guadalupe Reservoir when I saw the fire. This was about 4pm. I had no camera, I thought. Then I remembered my iPhone. Best camera is thew one you have with you. There was one hellicopter and three planes in the sky at one time. The quick response surely saved the day, if not a big chunk of the park.
